40 Day Jesus Fast Starts Now

To My Family & Friends,

Today we are starting a 40 Days of Fasting journey. The primary focus of this corporate call to fasting is to encounter the Lord in a spirit of humility and hunger. We must have the Lord's heart and mind and strength in the days and weeks ahead. I have a growing confidence that the Church of Christ Jesus' greatest days are ahead of us, even in the midst of challenge and difficulty. We invite you to join us in this journey as we seek the Lord together and ask for a great outpouring of His Holy Spirit in us and through us. (January 1 to February 9, 2022)

• When: Starting on Saturday (Jan. 1) and ends on Wednesday (Feb. 9)

• Who: We invite all to join the IHOP–Miami leadership team in this 40-day Jesus fast. We will also have the HOP families in Hyderabad, India, friends in other states, and other ministries across Miami participating.

• How: Fast in the way the Lord leads, in the areas of food, media, and entertainment, etc.

• Corporate times: We encourage you to schedule weekly time to gather with others who are fasting to encourage and share what the Lord is speaking and doing. IHOP-Miami is making our Friday nights (7:00pm-9:00pm) and Sunday mornings (10:00am to 12:00pm) as our weekly rallying times to share what the Lord says to us as a leadership team during the fast.

• What: We sense the Lord highlighting ISAIAH 40 and ISAIAH 22:22 as key passages for our community during this corporate fast.

ISAIAH 22:22 The key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder; So he shall open, and no one shall shut; And he shall shut, and no one shall open.
